Step Two: Build a persuasive site

Get visitors to buy, register or enquire

3stepstwo

Just having a website is not enough.

A well designed, visually compelling website with quality content targeting the needs of the users that is easy to use will make get people to buy, register, enquire or sign up.

A compelling design with persuasive content is needed before you carry out promotional activities, otherwise that investment may be wasted.

Your website should:

  • Provide enough information to help people make a decision to use your products or services
  • Be updated regularly - it shows you are caring for your business
  • Build trust with high value, real content
  • Have content containing the keyword phrases your audience uses
  • Have a design that portrays your company as professional
  • Have clean, valid code
  • Make it easy for people to find what they want
  • Make it easy for people to buy from you
  • Encourage people to sign up and give you their details

Do you:

  • Know what content is your top performer
  • Know the difference between persuasive copy and content
Is your content king?  Or a poor scullery maid?

Am I doing it right?

If you have this step in place you will:

  • Have a site targeted to your visitors needs
  • Have content that contains both your 'top' keywords and long tail keyword phrases
  • Have landing pages supporting your campaigns
  • Have tested your content and know what works better
  • Be updating your site constantly
  • Have a site that builds trust through the content and the design
  • Have content that is regularly updated
  • Have content that adds value for the visitor
  • Have quality images on your site - no dark pixellated images please!
