Why should I get a site assessment

An assesssment will at the least save you money, but preferrably get your website to make more money for you.

A site assessment will consider different elements of your site to see what could be improved - some of which you can do yourself.

A general site assessment will consider:

  • Site structure
  • Visual layout and style
  • Ease of use
  • Search engine performance
  • Content quality and targetting
  • Technical performance

You will be able to target any improvement activity to focus on where it matters.  Otherwise, if it's not broken - don't fix it!

With any improvement project, you should be clear about where you should focus your efforts before you start.  You should never start something just because you think you should.

If you go to your IT team or web developer without knowing exactly what needs to be done, you may get a site redesign that has many of the same (and some new!) problems.  You'll be no better off and a few dollars out of pocket.

In addition, your site will be measured against industry best practise, accepted standards and in some areas - your competition. The comparisions are therefore more objective than the company owner/CEO/MD or other important person's purely subjective opinion.
